This painting was inspired by a friend of mine, who is a famous Plein air painter in. California. He alway paints his trees very tall, so I decided to use that device on this dramatic freeway scene. The reference photo was taken in on highway 80 just before sunset, after a rainstorm.
Original Oil painting on panel, 30” x 40”. Purchase this painting framed or unframed. Custom floater frames are made from Poplar and Pine with a natural polyurethane finish. Frame adds an inch to each dimension.
